Position Summary: CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic (CTC) seeks an experienced, Endocrinologist to launch and lead a brand-new Endocrinology service line at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa in San Antonio, TX (Westover Hills). This role requires a physician with a proven track record of building a clinical practice from the ground up and collaborating with primary care leadership. Successful candidates must be board certified and hold (or be eligible for) a Texas Medical License prior to employment.

Job Description: CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System is establishing an in-house Endocrinology program to meet the surging healthcare needs of San Antonio-the fastest-growing city in the U.S. With a regional shortage of specialists, and a rapidly expanding local population, the demand for dedicated endocrinology care is high.

As the founding physician for this service line, you will enjoy complete clinical and operational autonomy to design and build the program from scratch, fully backed by executive hospital leadership. You will step into an immediate, built-in referral pipeline supplied by our large local Internal Medicine and Family Medicine presence as well as regional satellite clinics in New Braunfels, San Marcos, and surrounding communities.

• 100% Outpatient Practice: Purely outpatient workflow with NO call requirements.

• Practice Building Autonomy: Full administrative and clinical backing to shape clinic workflows, establish protocols, and build a program from the ground up.

• Infusion Center Development: Dedicated organizational backing to develop and oversee an on-site infusion center if aligned with your clinical interests.

• Prime Location: Based at a brand-new clinic facility in Westover Hills- experiencing 35%+ population growth and a catchment area of 900,000+.

• APP Supervision Incentive: Opportunity to supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) with additional monthly supervisory compensation.

Responsibilities:

• Design, launch, and grow a brand-new outpatient Endocrinology service line.

• Provide comprehensive outpatient endocrinology care while managing a diverse caseload

• Partner closely with CHRISTUS IM/FM Clinics and practices

• Conduct thorough clinical evaluations, diagnostics, and tailored treatment plans.

• Educate patients and families on disease self-management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.

• Option to supervise APPs and oversee on-site infusion services if desired.

Requirements:

• M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school with Board Certification in Endocrinology.

• Active (or eligible for) unrestricted Texas Medical License.

• Required Experience: Demonstrated history of successfully building an endocrinology practice or program from scratch.

• Strong leadership capability with a collaborative approach toward primary care integration.

• Outstanding clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
