The Case Manager advances the UT Elevated program by delivering comprehensive non-clinical case management that promotes the personal and academic success of assigned students. Working in close partnership with the Student Resource Center and the Accessibility and Disability Center, the position connects students to campus and community resources, removes barriers to persistence, and supports timely progress toward completion. The Case Manager also cultivates partnerships with university departments and community organizations and serves as a liaison between students and key services. Through proactive outreach, advocacy, and data-informed coordination, this position directly strengthens student retention, well-being, and overall academic achievement.

Responsibilities
-
- Manage assigned student caseloads, assessing needs and developing personalized support plans.
- Conduct intake interviews, provide continuous follow-up, and adjust support strategies as needed.
- Provide a continuum of case management services for cases: including, assessment, planning, collaboration, implementation, monitoring, follow-up.
- Oversee basic needs support, unsheltered and at-risk student concerns, including housing assistance and food resources.
- Serve as a liaison between students and university departments, community organizations, and service providers.
- Advocate for all students through personalized conversations, understanding their needs, and coordinating wraparound support services from various on-campus and off-campus offices.
- Establish and maintain partnerships and relationships with community organizations, campus entities, housing authorities, and other relevant stakeholders. Act as a liaison between clients and external service providers, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and transitional programming to help students navigate university life.
- Support social and economic mobility through networking and confidence-building programs.
- Coordinate support for the development of independent living skills, self-advocacy, and socialization with external partners.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders, including school districts, disability agencies, families, and community organizations.
- Provide strengths-based case management and instructional support for students with intellectual or behavioral disabilities, coordinating individualized success plans; implement evidence-based strategies such as universal design for learning, positive behavior supports, and monitor progress to promote safety, persistence, and skill development.
- Conduct awareness campaigns to promote available services and advocate on behalf of students.
- Assist with development and implementation the UT Elevated program.
- Manage daily operations, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Conduct program evaluations, collect data, and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders and grant providers.
- Remain current on ADA and related federal and state accessibility policies; translate regulatory updates into clear procedures and training; collaborate with Accessibility and Disability Center to ensure compliant practices, effective accommodations, accurate documentation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
-
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in social work or educational psychology required. Exceptions may be granted for candidates currently progressing through an accredited MSW program only.
- Candidates should have experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD), particularly in an education setting.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to, respect for, and understanding of the academic, personal, and social needs of all students required.
- Proven experience in program development using high-impact practices designed to enhance student success and retention.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring in an academic setting, community organizing, and other leadership roles required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and conflict resolution expertise.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

POSITION DETAILS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Full-time overtime-exempt staff position. Annual salary of $55,000-$57,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Desired start date of June 1, 2026. Excellent benefits package included that begins on start date; includes medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, employee assistance and wellness programs, retirement plan contributions, and undergraduate tuition waivers for employees and eligible dependents, as well as paid holidays in addition to sick and vacation leave accruals.
