Purpose of the Job


The Production Manager supports the delivery of client marketing programs by coordinating production and purchasing activities across a range of projects. Working closely with the Account Manager, this role helps ensure projects are executed accurately, on time, within budget, and in accordance with established processes and quality standards.


The Production Manager serves as a key operational partner to the Account Manager, supporting project delivery, supplier coordination, and production execution while developing expertise across a variety of product categories.



Key Responsibilities



  • Support production projects from briefing through delivery, ensuring assigned tasks and deliverables are completed according to project requirements.
  • Support the collection of project specifications and assist in coordinating with suppliers to gather pricing, lead times, and production information.
  • Enter and maintain project information within procurement and workflow systems, including quotes, purchase orders, invoices, and project documentation.
  • Provide project status updates and production information to the Account Manager and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate communication between suppliers, Account Manager, and internal teams to support project execution.
  • Support project execution by helping track budgets, timelines, quality requirements, and established processes.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers and internal team members to support project delivery.
  • Assist with sourcing activities by requesting quotations, gathering supplier information, and supporting supplier selection processes as directed by senior team members.
  • Monitor project activities and communicate potential risks, delays, or issues to senior production team members and Account Managers for guidance and resolution.
  • Support reporting, project administration, and the preparation of account updates, status reports, and client presentations.
  • Contribute suggestions for process improvements and cost-saving opportunities while developing production and procurement expertise.
  • Support client communications by providing project updates and production-related information through the Account Manager or under their direction.
  • Assist in tracking project milestones, service levels, and operational metrics, ensuring information is accurately maintained.
  • Support the delivery of projects across a range of production categories, including POP/POS materials, print, and branded merchandise.
  • Work closely with the Account Manager to support successful project delivery and help ensure client expectations are met.
  • Develop knowledge of manufacturing processes, supplier capabilities, procurement practices, and category best practices.



Knowledge, Skills + Experience



  • 2-4 years of production, procurement, project coordination, or related experience in a manufacturing, agency, retail, or marketing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting production, purchasing, project coordination, or client service activities across multiple projects.
  • Basic understanding of procurement processes and supplier engagement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support client-facing teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Experience using procurement, workflow, or project management systems is preferred.



For New Jersey state applicants: The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $80,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, certifications and work location. This range may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.



The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus targets, benefits and/or other applicable incentives.
