What to Expect
Technicians are a critical part of the EHS team at Tesla. Reporting to the IH lead, you willassistwith Industrial Hygiene initiatives,projectsand day-to-day internal consulting for the local EHS team and Production/Manufacturing engineering. In this role, you will provide direct support to thesiteIndustrial Hygienist, EHS Specialists, EHS Management and Production/Manufacturing partners. You willassistwith sampling needs, employee health risk assessments, risk reduction initiatives, IH related TakeChargesand improving compliance/participation ratios of Medical Surveillance Programs (RPP, HCP,etc.).

What You'll Do
  • Conduct routine and specialized industrial hygiene sampling, including personal and area air monitoring, noisedosimetryand surface samplingunderleadIH guidance
  • Assistwith performing Health Risk Assessmentsanddevelopingchemicalhazardcommunication
    one
    -pagers for shops
  • Accurately record field notes, observations and sampling data, perform data entry into EHSrepositoriesandprepare samples for shipment to accredited analytical laboratories with proper chain-of-custody documentation
  • Assistin drafting technical reports, exposureassessmentsand summary data tables for review by senior EHS staff
  • Perform ventilation surveys, soundsurveysand indoor air quality (IAQ) assessments
  • Calibrate,operate,maintainand troubleshoot a variety of industrial hygiene testing equipment (e.g., photoionization detectors, sound level meters,pumpsand direct-reading instruments)
  • Maintainan accurateinventory of sampling media, calibrationgasesand equipment maintenance logs

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in IndustrialHygiene, Chemistry,ChemicalEngineering,Bioengineering or
    Environmental preferred, or equivalent experienc

  • Work experience in a manufacturing environment ispreferredwithbasic understanding of general manufacturing safety and hazard recognition
  • Advanced computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Well organized, excellent attention todetailand a passion for all things Environment,Healthand Safety
  • Evidence of exceptional ability: Clear communication, teamwork, problem solving skills and ability to adapt quickly to changes
  • Must be able tolift upto 50lbs.and abilityto standand/orwalk for 10+ hours daily
