Job Title: Sr. Project Manager

Locations: Kansas City, MO | Boston, MA | New York, NY | Connecticut - Hybrid (Remote flexibility for other states in the US as well)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver complex technology projects within SS&C GIDS, Inc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans, including detailed tasks, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear communication, effective collaboration, and accountability.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and escalating as necessary.
  • Monitor project progress, performance, and budget, providing regular status reports to stakeholders.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Ensure adherence to SS&C GIDS project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.
  • Facilitate effective communication channels between project team members, stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced project team members.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in project management, preferably within the financial services or software industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects from initiation to closure.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

What Sets You Apart (Preferred Qualifications)

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience with SS&C GIDS products or services is a plus.

Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. New York: The expected base salary for the position is between 90,000 USD to 110,000 USD. Illinois: The expected base salary for the position is between 90,000 USD to 110,000 USD. Massachusetts: The expected base salary for the position is between 90,000 USD to 110,000 USD. In addition, employees in this role may be eligible for consideration on an annual basis for a discretionary bonus and/or equity awards, such as restricted stock units or stock options, based upon individual and business performance at the company's discretion.
