Job Overview:

The Menu Technician is responsible for taking patient meal orders from our patients and assisting patients with their menu selections,

• Will be responsible for maintaining patients' room service card files,
• Other job-related tasks as needed,
• Communication with other hospital disciplines is necessary,
• The candidate must have excellent customer service,

Qualifications:

Required

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Two years of experience in a hospital Food Service Department

Preferred

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university

Scheduling Requirements:

• Per Diem
• Shifts - 6:30am-3pm, 7am-11am, 7am-3:30 pm, 11am-7:30pm, 3pm-8pm,
• Weekend/Holidays Rotation

Essential Functions:

• The Menu Technician assists the department in all clerical functions for patient meal service through accurate menu processing and assisting patients with menu selections
• Maintains the Room Service computer system so that patient files are updated with appropriate dietary information according to physician order,
• Demonstrates skills necessary to coordinate menu selections for pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients
