| Job Responsibilities: |
Parsons House Residential Reentry Center (RRC)
Job Summary Responsible for supervising adult male and female offenders in a residential correctional setting and during approved community activities. This role ensures resident accountability and adherence to safety, security, and sanitation standards while supporting daily operations. The position also includes administrative tasks and regular collaboration with residents, staff, and community partners. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Remain in a constant state of alertness while on duty.
- Supervise residents in all facility areas, including living quarters, recreation rooms, dining rooms, and visitation areas.
- Supervise and monitor residents' activities while in the community.
- Enforce all house rules and offender supervision rules governing residents.
- Instruct residents in the proper use of facility property.
- Instill and reinforce good work habits and personal hygiene practices.
- Supervise and inspect residents assigned chores.
- Always maintain accountability of residents, including conducting resident counts at irregular and required intervals.
- Perform accountability checks for residents signed out on pass.
- Conduct surveillance checks inside and outside the facility.
- Check and monitor locking devices, alarms, CCTV, and other security equipment.
- Conduct urine surveillance and administer breathalyzer tests when required or deemed necessary.
- Monitor and document medication usage.
- Maintain life safety, environmental safety, facility control, and sanitation standards.
- Assist with new resident intake and orientation.
- Prepare and complete required documentation and reports, including disciplinary actions, incidents, accidents, medical reports, escapes, and resident sign-in/sign-out sheets.
- Follow established notification and reporting procedures for incidents.
- Attend required training courses and scheduled staff meetings.
- Perform general office duties, including:
- Greeting and signing in/out visitors
- Managing and monitoring inventory and ordering program supplies
- Sorting and distributing mail
- Filing and maintaining forms
- Managing resident property
- Work cooperatively with supervisors, co-workers, contractors, and other staff.
- Interact with residents, probation officers, visitors, family members, employers, and the general public.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to carry out the responsibilities of the position.

| Job Qualifications: |
Required Qualifications * Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Experience - One year of prior work experience in corrections, security, or a related social service field preferred.
* Technical Skills - Basic computer skills
- Ability to use security-related equipment; experience with CCTV preferred.
* Certifications
- Ability to provide First Aid and CPR.
* Licensure - Valid driver's license, automobile, and insurance sufficient to meet agency requirements.
* Other Requirements - Ability to work under deadlines and time pressure.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness.
- Must meet all employee requirements, including caregiver and Bureau of Prisons background checks, physical exam, driver's license check, and drug screen (if applicable)
* Program-Specific Knowledge
- Working knowledge of offender supervision and correctional residential operations.

Current Shift Needs: Saturdays and Sundays
1st shift: 7:00am - 3:00pm
2nd shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, bend, and climb two to three flights of stairs.
- Must be mobile throughout the facility and able to stay awake and alert during shift.
- Ability to evacuate occupants from the building in less than three minutes during emergencies.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, including inventory and supplies.
- Physical demands are representative of those necessary to perform the essential job functions; reasonable accommodations may be made where appropriate.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: - Work is performed in an adult correctional halfway house setting.
- The facility operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week as the primary living environment for residents.
- Work includes facility-based and community-based supervision activities.
- Noise levels and environmental conditions are consistent with a secure residential correctional environment.
