POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supply Chain Manager to lead our Fluid Systems Division at our Irvine location. This on-site leadership role is pivotal in managing a supply chain team of over 50 professionals, overseeing an annual spend exceeding$200M. As the largest division within our Aerospace Group and the largest site in the division, with over 500 employees and generating more than $500M in annual revenue, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and strategic initiatives.

In this position, you will be responsible for optimizing supply chain processes, enhancing supplier relationships, and implementing best practices to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in supply chain management, operational excellence, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage all procurement and materials management activities including order placement, supplier reduction/evaluation/certification, supplier follow-up, price negotiation and compliance with government procurement regulations.
  • Matrix responsibilities for Production Planning's manufacturing resource-planning activities. These activities need to help achieve division sales and objectives and maintain 100% on-time customer deliveries. Matrix responsibilities for personnel involved with the MRP database to achieve and maintain a high degree of data accuracy, integrity, and ownership.
  • Accountable for site supply chain metrics and standards of performance. Benchmark world class supplier management systems and implement best practices in division as appropriate.
  • Help define and implement automated systems to plan and track material flow from customers through procurement to delivery to support a supply chain management strategy.
  • Ensure all material management policies are consistent with the inventory control objectives of the Corporation.
  • Facilitate corporate purchasing and materials initiatives including common part numbers, supplier managed inventory, consolidated purchasing agreements, supplier reduction and supplier quality certifications.
  • Support internal or external audit requirements relative to the planning, procurement or inventory control functions. Prepare and manage department budget within established guidelines.
  • Effectively create and sustain procurement to delivery material and system cost reduction programs. Facilitate Kanban, materials requirement planning technique, throughout the Irvine site. Actively support and implement lean principles.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ten or more years of major professional accomplishments including increasing responsibility and leadership of projects and teams of considerable size, scope and complexity for seven or more years.
  • Knowledge of the product(s) and manufacturing operations that would be obtained through a bachelor's degree in a manufacturing related field, business or engineering, and progressive career experience. An M.B.A., an advanced technical degree, or professional designation preferred.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives. Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities. Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals. Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change.
  • Current knowledge of the latest manufacturing technology, productivity and quality measurements, and material/planning systems requiring continual review of methods to optimize productivity.

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $138150 to $241850 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
