DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Officer 1, you will be responsible for providing oversight for all aspects of the Purchasing Card Program which includes COPA and IGWF/Inmate Accounts, in addition to identifying program strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement. This includes participating in the overall maintenance of the Purchasing Card Manual as well as recommending program amendments as deemed necessary. The ability to effectively collaborate with others is vital, as you will be working closely with the department audit coordinator, the bank, comptroller, treasury, and the Office of Budget.
Within this role, you will also serve as the Central Office purchasing card coordinator. Specific duties will entail reconciling monthly transactions for Central Office p-card holders; reviewing monthly statements on all cardholders; working with purchasing card vendors to resolve issues or discrepancies; reviewing and approving monthly Central Office transactions; and training DOC staff on the use of the purchasing card systems. Furthermore, you will monitor all purchasing card activity and perform quality assurance reviews for facility cards to ensure that purchases are in compliance with program guidelines.

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week upon successful completion of the 6-month probationary period and with supervisor approval. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Mechanicsburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
