Daikin Applied is hiring a Senior Manager - Corporate Strategy! Daikin Applied Americas (DAA) designs and manufactures advanced commercial and industrial HVAC systems for customers in end markets such as manufacturing, healthcare, education and datacenters. The Company's products, services and solutions play a vital role in creating comfortable, efficient and sustainable spaces to work and live. The Corporate Strategy & Development team supports long-term profitable growth through strategic planning, execution and end-to-end corporate development, from M&A strategy to transaction execution and integration. The Corporate Strategy team drives profitable growth across the business by leading the long-term strategic planning process and executing high priority strategic projects to drive sales growth and margin expansion. We are seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy to work with senior leadership and functional experts to develop long-term profitable growth strategies. Location:Hybrid - Plymouth

What you will do:

  • Develop long-term (5 year) profitable growth strategies by partnering with the executive team, business unit leadership and functional leadership; drive a strategic approach and way of thinking across the organization; develop and refine tools and templates to support long-term strategy development; disseminate information to the broader organization through effective presentation development and presentation at meetings
  • Develop a deep understanding of our business, the external market, industry trends, competitive landscape, technology disruptions, macroeconomic environment, etc. as the foundation upon which to build successful strategies
  • Drive the execution of high priority projects including new product, services and solutions strategies, operational improvement initiatives, etc. by bringing a strategic approach and framework to guide cross-functional teams; analyze data, develop insights and formulate actionable recommendations to senior leadership
  • Drive strategy deployment into the business by supporting the annual operating plan cadence; flow down corporate level strategies and priorities into the business units and functions to ensure operational execution is aligned with long term strategic goals; proactively develop insight and actionable recommendations to capitalize on new business opportunities and improve business performance where needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related field required
  • 5+ years in a corporate strategy / management consulting / product strategy role
  • Experience developing new products, services and solutions strategies desirable
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop actionable insights and recommendations
  • Skilled at seeing the big picture, connecting the dots and driving clarity from uncertainty
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to drive multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously
  • Ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships across the organization
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus to drive toward decisions and actions
  • Executive presence and the ability to engage confidently with executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • Industrial or manufacturing industry experience

The typical pay rate for the position ranges from $113,800 - $193,900 + 20% bonus in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position(s) fall. Individual hourly pay rate will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
