Overview

As a Technology Service Senior Specialist, you will operate within Deutsche Bank's Corporate Bank Payments production services team supporting Instant Payments and Bulk platforms that underpin critical global transaction flows. You will play a key role in maintaining the stability and reliability of high volume real time payment systems while driving continuous improvement across monitoring automation and platform performance. You will work hands on across application and infrastructure layers to resolve complex production issues and support major incident recovery in a globally distributed environment. You will partner closely with engineering and operations teams to reduce risk improve service resilience and enhance the delivery of business critical payment services.

What You'll Do

  • Provide hands on technical and functional support for payment applications including incident resolution user requests and production troubleshooting across application and infrastructure layers

  • Drive resolution of production issues across Instant Payments and Bulk platforms collaborating with L3 CIO and global teams to restore service and close problem tickets

  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual effort improve monitoring and enhance platform stability

  • Participate in Change Advisory Board calls and contribute to improving change quality and reducing production risk

  • Partner with Global Incident Management to support major incident recovery and ensure effective communication with stakeholders

  • Maintain documentation runbooks and knowledge articles while supporting testing resilience exercises and continuous improvement initiatives

How You'll Lead

  • Influence and drive alignment across technology operations and business stakeholders to ensure stable and resilient payment platform delivery

  • Provide technical leadership during incidents and change activities guiding teams through resolution risk mitigation and recovery actions

  • Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders delivering clear communication on system health risks and ongoing improvements

Skills You'll Need

  • Proven experience working in large scale production support environments within Financial Services or Payments domains

  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes including Incident Problem and Change Management

  • Hands on experience supporting distributed systems across infrastructure messaging and database technologies including Unix MQ Kafka and relational databases

  • Experience with monitoring and scripting tools including Shell Python or PowerShell and observability platforms such as Geneos AppDynamics Grafana or similar

  • Understanding of SRE concepts including service reliability metrics and continuous improvement practices

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud

  • Exposure to automation tools such as Ansible and scripting driven operational improvements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with ability to diagnose complex production issues

  • Ability to operate in high pressure environments handling multiple priorities across global teams

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $125,000 to $222.500. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
