JOB TITLE: Senior Business Analyst (Automation) LOCATION: Plainsboro, NJ: Hybrid, but onsite preferred (MUST be a commutable distance to office) Duration: 1 year, potential to extend SCHEDULE: Full-time, starting at 9:00am Description: Role Summary The Business Operations Senior Analyst is responsible for driving operational efficiency, compliance, and insight generation through advanced analytics, AI tools, and intelligent process automation. The role partners closely with Fleet Management, Safety, Sustainability, Finance, HR, Legal, and IT to simplify pro-cesses, automate reporting and controls, and elevate decision-making across the Fleet operation. Fleet leadership may also assign subsets of operational activities for end-to-end ownership. A core focus of this role is the use of Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate) and AI-enabled capabilities to reduce manual effort, improve data quality, accelerate audits and reporting, and support scalable operational excellence. TOP MUST HAVES: Strong analytical skills; ability to dig into data and provide insights Experience and utilization of AI tools and Power BI Building Power BI dashboards Excellent communication skills, both written and oral (will communicate with operational leaders) Operational Focus: Fleet Management (Fleet Safety, Vehicle Operations, Sustainability) Fleet Management experience is preferred, but not required. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Data Science, Operations, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in operational analytics, business analysis, or analytics roles supporting complex operational environments. Advanced Power BI expertise, including dashboard design, data modelling, and DAX develop-ment. Demonstrated experience applying AI tools or advanced analytics to automate processes, gener-ate insights, or support decision-making in an operational or asset-based environment. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with strong PowerPoint storytelling and executive presentation capabilities. Experience working independently in complex, regulated, matrixed organizations, with the abil-ity to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders. Facilitating stakeholder interviews, optimizing business processes using the relevant tools and da-ta protocols. Key Responsibilities Operational Analysis & Business Support Analyze and implementation of end-to-end operational processes across Fleet Management to identify inefficiencies, risks, manual touchpoints, and automation opportunities. Provide operational insights related to safety, vehicle operations, sustainability, supplier perfor-mance, and financial controls. Accountability for end-to-end business processes as assigned. Support business planning, quarterly reviews, and leadership reporting with data-driven insights. Process Automation (Leveraging AI or other tools as required) Design, build, test, and maintain Power Automate workflows or equivalent to: Automate data collection, validation, and approvals Streamline audit, compliance, and reporting processes Reduce manual reporting, reconciliations, and follow-ups Identify opportunities to apply AI tools (e.g. predictive analytics, anomaly detection, automated insight generation) to operational use cases. Lead the implementation of scalable, secure, and compliant automation solutions and partner with IT as needed. Continuously assess automation impact and optimize workflows for efficiency and reliability. Power BI & Intelligent Reporting Develop and manage Power BI dashboards supporting operational KPIs, safety metrics, sustaina-bility performance, audit readiness, and financial oversight. Integrate multiple data sources and ensure consistent, trusted reporting across functions. Enable self-service reporting while maintaining governance and data quality standards. Audit, Compliance & Governance Enablement Support financial, ESG, safety, and compliance audits by automating data preparation, tracking, and reporting. Build automated controls and monitoring dashboards to support fraud prevention, policy compli-ance, and audit readiness. Support year-end, quarterly, and ad-hoc audit requests through repeatable, automated process-es. Operational Excellence & Process Improvement Apply operational excellence and continuous improvement principles to redesign workflows and reporting processes. Support benchmarking, issue escalation analysis, and executive-level reporting. Partner cross-functionally on complex operational issues and Tier 3 escalations involving HR, Le-gal, Suppliers, and Affiliates. Financial, Safety & Sustainability Analytics Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis through automated and standardized reporting. Analyze safety incident trends, compliance metrics, and program effectiveness. Support sustainability initiatives through automated emissions, EV adoption, and environmental reporting. Stakeholder Engagement & Change Enablement Act as a trusted advisor to operational leaders by translating data into actionable insights. Support adoption of new tools and automated processes through clear communication and train-ing. Drive change through simplification, standardization, and automation.
