  • Estimated annual base pay: $72,000(minimum) - $93,000(midpoint) - $115,000(maximum)

As part of the Financial Systems team, the Analytics and MDM Analyst II is accountable for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and trustworthiness of enterprise master data that enables reliable financial reporting, planning, analytics, and downstream operations. This role blends disciplined master data stewardship, leadership, and governance responsibilities with hands-on analytical support for financial systems, requiring comfort operating within structured controls while investigating complex data issues. While the role supports analytics and reporting use cases, it is equally focused on the stewardship, governance, and quality of financial master data across enterprise systems. As a senior individual contributor, this role operates with minimal supervision, leads complex MDM initiatives, and serves as a subject-matter expert for Finance master data domains.

In this role, the Analytics and MDM Analyst II is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and stewardship of master data across enterprise platforms (e.g., ERP and MDM systems), applying defined governance standards to ensure data quality, compliance, and usability for both operational and analytical use cases.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Master Data Management

  • Create, update, and retire financial master data objects (e.g., General Ledger Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers)

  • Maintain master data directly within SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA ERP, and related platforms

  • Partner with administrators to maintain master data across enterprise systems

  • Apply and enforce approved naming conventions, hierarchies, and data standards defined by Data Governance teams

  • Serve as a lead steward for assigned financial master data domains

  • Review and approve complex or nonstandard master data changes

Data Quality & Controls

  • Perform data validation, cleansing, and enrichment activities to maintain high-quality master data

  • Monitor and report on data quality KPIs such as completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and consistency

  • Identify, investigate, and remediate data defects, inconsistencies, and duplicates

  • Execute periodic data audits and reconciliations to ensure alignment across systems

  • Proactively identify systemic data quality risks

  • Lead remediation and preventive control strategies

Governance & Compliance

  • As domain lead, adhere to and champion established data governance policies, standards, and approval workflows

  • Lead SOX and regulatory compliance activities related to financial master data

  • Ensure appropriate documentation, approvals, and auditability for all master data changes

  • Lead cross-domain data stewardship activities as required

Workflow & Process Execution

  • Execute master data requests using workflow and ticketing tools

  • Support and follow defined SLAs for data processing and issue resolution

  • Document data processes and maintain complete audit trails

  • Identify opportunities to improve data governance or operational workflows and lead implementation of enhancements

Communication and Collaboration

  • Communicate financial master data issues, impacts, and resolutions to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner

  • Escalate critical issues appropriately to support prompt resolution

  • Partner within the Finance organization as well as cross-functionally through the operational master data team

  • Collaborate with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and IT teams to resolve issues and support initiatives

  • Support data migration, system implementations, integrations, and upgrades

Reporting and Analytics

  • Support financial reporting and analytics by ensuring master data is accurate, standardized, and accessible

  • Analyze data trends and issues related to master data quality that may impact reporting or system performance

  • Independently design and deliver dashboards, metrics, and reporting used to communicate data quality trends and improvement opportunities

  • Develop financial reporting and analysis using Power BI and other enterprise finance systems when needed

Key Skills:

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of data structures and relational data concepts

  • Experience with data governance workflows, MDM platforms, or data quality tools

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (formulas, lookups, data analysis)

  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and validation

  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau preferred

  • Exposure to scripting or automation languages considered a plus

Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives with a diverse group of stakeholders

  • Ability to perform root cause analysis for data, workflow, and reporting issues

  • Understanding of data governance principles and data lifecycle management

  • Comfort working within standardized processes, controls, and approval hierarchies

  • Ability to translate business requirements into clear data requirements and documentation

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams

  • Aptitude for coaching junior analysts is a plus

Successful Candidates Will Typically Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred

  • 4+ years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Operations, Financial Systems, or a related discipline preferred

  • Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA preferred

  • Exposure to MDM, data quality, or analytics within a corporate finance environment preferred

  • Experience leading initiatives or complex issue resolution
