For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign-on bonuses for Medical Assistants:

0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)

1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time)

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position.
Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

This is a full-time, 36-hour per week position.

Our MaineHealth Palliative Care practice is looking for a compassionate Medical Assistant or Clinical Team Assistant to support providers and patients through every stage of care. From helping coordinate visits to creating a comforting and supportive experience, you'll play an important role in improving the quality of life for patients and their families. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
2. License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or NREMT certification preferred. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
3. Experience: Relevant experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) for CTA:

1. Education: High School Diploma preferred.
2. License/Certifications: Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
3. Experience: Previous experience in a medical office or outpatient hospital setting preferred.
4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: This role will participate and complete an established training program approved by MaineHealth with the expectation of obtaining certification and transitioning to a Medical Assistant position within one year of eligibility.
5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A

The pay range for this position is $21.09to $27.12 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
