Position Summary: The National Resource Center for Family Centered Practice provides training and technical assistance, research and evaluation, and informational services to public and private organizations in the areas of family and community-centered practice, behavioral health, and organizational development. The Training Director assumes primary responsibility for directing the Iowa Peer Workforce Collaborative and the Center's training programs, and for generating external funds through contracts and grants for training and developing projects and curricula. Key tasks: Manage Iowa Peer Workforce Collaborative, including implementation and evaluation of peer support specialist and family peer support specialist training programs, communication with project officer, and program development Manage NRC Training Division and Programs, including responding to requests from potential customers, developing training content, identifying trainers, and evaluating training programs Staff supervision: Assign and evaluate work, providing ongoing supervision, evaluate performance of contracted consultants Planning: Develop strategic plan for training division, identify funding sources and prepare grant submissions Required qualifications: Master's degree in Social Work or an equivalent combination of education and experience Extensive (5+ years) experience in curriculum and/or program development Experience working with peer support programs and practices Excellent verbal communication skills; and experience leading and/or participating as a member of work teams and groups Demonstrated experience with public speaking. Proficiency in computer software applications, including demonstrated experience using email, spreadsheets and word processing programs Ability to travel statewide; and hold a valid driver's license, plus the ability to meet the University of Iowa Fleet Safety Program driving standards (University of Iowa Operations Manual Part V, Chapter 19. Excellent written communication skills, including experience creating, writing and editing educational/informational material.
