Associate, Corporate Venture Capital Fund (New York, NY) Synthesizing complex business analysis including market sizing (TAM/SAM/SOM), competitive benchmarking analysis, revenue recognition modeling, customer acquisition cost analysis, and predictive modeling techniques using regression analysis, Monte Carlo simulations, and scenario planning to support investment committee decision-making. About the Role In this opportunity asAssociate, Corporate Venture Capital Fund, you will: * Perform sophisticated cohort and customer analysis including customer segmentation studies, lifetime value calculations, retention rate modeling, product-market fit assessment, and behavioral analytics to evaluate business model sustainability and growth potential for target investments. * Lead advanced financial modeling and valuation analysis including discounted cash flow models, leveraged buyout analysis, comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, and sensitivity analysis incorporating stochastic modeling, revenue build-up models, and optimization algorithms for multi-currency portfolio construction. * Perform comprehensive market and competitive analysis including go-to-market strategy assessment, competitive positioning studies, market penetration analysis, pricing strategy evaluation, and industry trend analysis using statistical methodologies and data visualization techniques. * Source and evaluate investment opportunities through systematic market research, international industry network analysis, and data-driven opportunity identification processes across US and Latin American markets, maintaining pipeline of 75+ potential deals quarterly with quantitative scoring methodologies. * Serve as board observer or board member for portfolio companies providing strategic guidance, operational insights, KPI analysis, and analytical support using quantitative analysis, cohort studies, and industrial engineering methodologies to optimize business performance and drive value creation initiatives. * Execute complex cross-border transaction analysis including merger and acquisition modeling in transaction value, international capital structure optimization, currency hedging analysis, synergy modeling, and deal structuring using sophisticated financial modeling techniques and constraint optimization methodologies. * Design and implement investment analysis frameworks utilizing operations research methodologies, simulation modeling, statistical optimization, and business intelligence tools to standardize due diligence processes across multiple geographic markets and improve investment decision accuracy. * Present investment recommendations and analytical findings to senior management, investment committee, limited partners, and board members through formal presentations incorporating advanced data visualization, cohort analysis results, statistical analysis summaries, and quantitative risk assessment models. * Manage portfolio company relationships. * Build and maintain relationships with founders, funds and corporates across the US, LatAm and South East Asia. * Conducting quarterly business reviews, analyzing key performance indicators using statistical process control methods, performing cohort analysis and customer behavior studies, and supporting strategic initiatives with quantitative analysis, market intelligence, and LP partnership facilitation. Hybrid position (3 days a week in office.) About You You're a fit for the role ofAssociate, Corporate Venture Capital Fund if your background includes: * Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics or a related field, plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate experience in investment analysis, or venture capital, or private equity, or investment banking, or related financial services role. * Experience must include the following, which may be gained concurrently: * 5 years of experience conducting comprehensive investment due diligence including financial analysis, market research, competitive analysis, and risk assessment for equity investments. * 5 years of experience building complex financial models including DCF analysis, LBO modeling, merger analysis, scenario planning, and revenue build-up models using advanced Excel, or statistical software, or programming languages. * 5 years of experience preparing detailed investment memoranda, research reports, portfolio updates, and analytical presentations incorporating market sizing analysis, competitive benchmarking, cohort analysis, unit economics, regressions and financial projections for senior leadership, or investment committees, or Limited Partners. * 3 years of experience as a portfolio company board observer or advisor conducting quarterly business reviews and advising through portfolio company sales, mergers and exits. * 3 years investing in early stage companies (seed through series C) having led investments from end-to-end globally. * 4 years of experience supervising junior staff in financial analysis, modeling, business analysis, and LP communications.
