DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY

To prepare and package finished goods for accurate and timely shipping



RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

*Follow proper procedures for packaging mobility scooters and power lift recliners, wrapping and/or boxing loose components, and selecting appropriate boxes, trays, and suspension for each product and securing them with plastic banding straps, micro-foam bags, and foam inserts

*Ensure all instructions and loose components are secured to the product

*Scan Matrix ID with barcode scanner to ensure all units are processed accurately in Oracle

*Print and apply packaging label to mobility scooters and power lift recliners

*Use powered hoist to place mobility scooters into boxes

*Promptly communicate barcode, packaging and banding machine issues to management

*Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management

*Complete the annual CTPAT Security Training

*Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment

*Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations

*Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times

*Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary



REQUIRED SKILLS

*Must be a friendly team player, detail-oriented, and honest

Must have the ability to:

*Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment

*Read and comprehend work instructions

*Be cross trained for multiple jobs within assigned work areas

*Operate touch-screen computer monitors and learn the Matrix/ProductionWare system and any other production software as required

*Work under general supervision and direction from a Team Leader, Supervisor, and/or Manager

*Rely on experience and judgment to accomplish daily goals

*Operate a powered hoist

*Lift/Push/Pull 40 lbs.

*Stand/bend/kneel

Must have:

*Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement

*A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods

*Good verbal and written communication skills



PREFERRED SKILLS

*Basic working knowledge of Oracle and Matrix/ProductionWare systems preferred

*Basic computer skills preferred



REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

*No experience required



PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

*At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

*At least 1 year of packaging experience preferred

*At least 1 year of experience using an RF Scanner, barcode scanner, lift assist and pneumatic stapler preferred

*Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred



PREFERRED EDUCATION

*High School Diploma or GED



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

*Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future
