Military Flight Controls Division Supporting aircraft worldwide, Parker Aerospace's Military Flight Controls Division (MFCD) provides primary and secondary flight control systems that make flight possible. Tested, proven and trusted in commercial and military applications for decades, MFCD provides precise position-control actuation solutions for military aircraft across the United States and with foreign partners. The division's JetPipe electrohydraulic servovalve (EHSV) technology is used across commercial and military aircraft around the world. Headquartered in Irvine, California, the Military Flight Controls Division is the global leader in fly-by-wire flight control systems and electrohydraulic products and offers the world's most advanced motor design capabilities for flight controls.

SUMMARY:

The Pricing Leader provides pricing analysis and leadership for a division, business unit, site or sales company in driving margin expansion and revenue growth goals. Generally, reports to Marketing Manager or assigned to a Sales Company. This position will not have direct reports.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Creates price guidelines and bid in conjunction with sales/marketing, typically with a defined scope
    1. Responsible for pricing for new product developments throughout all stage gates in Winovation
    2. Defines floor and ceiling prices in partnership with sales/marketing
    3. In partnership with sales and business development, incorporates feedback on floor and ceiling prices from sales and business development
    4. Ensures the pricing metrics are analyzed and communicated
    5. Creates customer contracts for proposals, quotes, and existing business
  2. Establishes guidelines for delegation of authority and manages adherence
  3. Implements strategies based on segmentation to maximize revenue/margin leveraging price
  4. Conducts regular reviews of price variance charts and metrics including product, customer, and market analysis
  5. Understands value position of products against competition, competing alternatives and internal product offering
    1. Understands, collaborates, and creates value propositions (value pricing) to maximize margin/revenue
  6. Responsible for ensuring the pricing improvement board is up to date
    1. Provides management with monthly metrics (win/loss tracking, quote variance to guidelines, sell price trends, speed to quote, etc.)
    2. Ensures accuracy of Parker's master catalogue

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Four-year degree, preferably in Business Discipline OR Engineering, Engineering Technology. MBA desired.

  • Minimum five (5) years Pricing experience required or similar commercial experience in related industry preferred

  • Minimum four (2) years of managerial / leadership experience managing or overseeing the Pricing discipline

  • Demonstrated experience in supporting or owning Pricing for Product lifecycle from design concept

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Applications, Salesforce)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving /resolution skills and a team focus

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $100300 to $166900 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
