What you can expect

Location: 2301 Erwin Rd, Durham, NC 27705

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides care for more than 1000 infants each year from the Southeast and worldwide, including extremely low birth weight infants and complex congenital conditions.

Schedule:



  • Full Time: 3 12-hour shifts per week, rotating between 7 a.m.-7:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.-7:30 a.m. Minimum of 2-4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.

How you will make an impact

  • Plan and provide professional nursing care in accordance with physician orders and established policies.
  • Delegate tasks, supervise care team members, and act as team leader or charge nurse as assigned.
  • Monitor and maintain the care environment including equipment and resources.
  • Support professional development, precept staff, and participate in performance improvement activities.
  • Educate patients and families and collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.


What you will need

  • 1+ years of experience as a clinical nurse required.
  • Graduation from an accredited BSN, ADN, or nursing diploma program required.
  • RNs without a BSN must enroll within 2 years and complete within 7 years.
  • Current RN licensure in North Carolina or compact state required.
  • BLS certification required.
