*5:1-6:1 RN-to-patient ratio for Medical-Surgical/Telemetry patients
*Dedicated unit-based Clinical Educator
*House-wide Night Shift Clinical Educator

*Clinical Coach available 7 nights per week
*Resource RN with minimal patient assignment
*Dedicated Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs) on each shift

As a Registered Nurse on our Medical Surgical/Telemetry Unit, you will be responsible for interpreting and implementing the plan of care, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating patient outcomes. You will use your clinical judgment and critical thinking skills to deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care while collaborating closely with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Assessment

  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions
  • Interpret and implement individualized plans of care
  • Modify treatment plans based on patient responses and clinical status
  • Accurately screen and triage acute patients

Medication Administration & Monitoring

  • Administer medications and treatments safely and effectively
  • Monitor patients for reactions or side effects
  • Record and communicate changes in patient condition

Documentation & Communication

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely patient records
  • Document medical information, assessments, and vital signs
  • Report symptoms, changes in condition, and patient outcomes

Collaboration & Care Coordination

  • Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
  • Participate in care planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Support a team-based approach to delivering exceptional patient care

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Associate Degree in Nursing required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

Experience in lieu of degree: No

Licensure & Certifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) License required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification preferred
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification preferred

Experience

  • 0-1 year of clinical nursing experience required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Understanding of nursing principles and clinical skills necessary to provide patient care and treatment
  • Knowledge of age-specific patient care needs for assigned populations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to accurately assess, screen, and triage acute patients
  • Effective critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities
