DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will support the daily operation of Raccoon Creek State Park by carrying out essential maintenance and construction tasks across the grounds and facilities. As a Park Maintenance Worker, you will perform the following duties:
- General Maintenance: Perform tasks that support construction, repair, and upkeep of park buildings and facilities
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and other equipment used for park work
- Grounds Care: Carry out mowing, trimming, planting, site preparation, and general landscape upkeep
- Housekeeping Duties: Make routine minor repairs, clean and sanitize restrooms, latrines, offices, and other building
- Visitor Assistance: Provide helpful information and support to park visitors in a friendly manner
- Record Keeping: Complete daily logs, mileage sheets, fuel records, and related forms

- This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately April 2026 until December 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately April 2027.
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Work shifts and days will vary. The employee will work 37.5 hours per week across 5 days, which may include weekends and holidays.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Conditions of Employment:
- This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
