Intermediates Quality Engineer

As an Intermediates Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for the quality engineering tasks specific to Intermediate production. You will be the main contact regarding intermediate approvals, out of specification batches, and overall intermediate quality improvement. You will work 1st shift on-site in Cleveland, OH reporting to the Analytical and RM Lab Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead Intermediate Bad Actors program to improve samples per batch metric
  • Conduct root cause investigation for work off and SSPL Intermediate batches
  • Review and ensure adequate testing for new intermediate codes being transferred to manufacturing
  • Provide adjustment support and guidance for in-process batches
  • Utilize SPC analysis to observe property drift
  • Be the quality contact for drawdown test method improvement and development
  • Participate in all QC Safety directives
  • Oversee and lead activity on high priority batches
  • COA processing and modification
  • Investigate and support batch investigations
  • Implement preventative measures for future batches
  • Collaborate with Customer Quality Engineer's CAIR investigations and audits
  • Provide support to Raw Material Quality and QC Engineering as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science related field
  • 3-5 years of quality engineering of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or training for Green Belt Certification preferred
  • Candidates will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and strong communication and organizational skills

This role has a salary range $75,000 to $80,000 depending on experience.
