Responsibilities

  • Operational planning, budgeting, and monitoring to ensure financial stability
  • Ensuring operational progress toward accomplishing operational and strategic goals
  • Ensuring that structure and systems promote interdisciplinary care and coordination among other departments and services
  • Ensuring that appropriate service policies and procedures are developed and implemented to accomplish identified outcomes
  • Assuming a leadership role in the development of relationships with hospitals, nursing homes, and other community, faith based and social service agencies as appropriate.
  • Monitoring income and actual vs. budgeted expenses on a regular basis.
  • Providing the vision to react positively to future challenges and opportunities with goals for growth of the organization in terms of patent access and related services.
  • Ensuring organizational compliance with legal, regulatory and accreditation requirements, including appropriate data collection and reporting


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, Master's degree preferred
  • Three or more years hospice leadership experience
  • Ability to educate, lead and inspire others
  • Ability to market and deal tactfully with customers and the community
  • Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Growth oriented, with knowledge or business management, governmental regulations and CHAP standards
  • Commitment to clinical documentation excellence and quality
