Job Description

The Division of Medical Genetics in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Missouri School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Geneticist to join a rapidly growing and highly collaborative academic program. This is an exceptional opportunity to become part of a division with strong institutional support, a broad referral base, and the ability to make a meaningful impact across Missouri and surrounding regions.

The successful candidate will join a busy and expanding Medical Genetics Division, providing comprehensive consultative and patient care services in Columbia.

In June 2024, University of Missouri Health Care opened its state-of-the-art Children's Hospital, a modern facility with more than 160 beds dedicated to delivering advanced pediatric care. The hospital brings together a broad range of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties alongside comprehensive ancillary services, creating a highly collaborative environment focused on innovation and excellence in patient care.

Job Details:

  • Join a team of:
    o 30 Pediatric specialties, including Genetics
    o Genetics Counselors
    o Dieticians
  • Responsibilities are:
    o Clinical care in multi-disciplinary team
    o Education across the medical education spectrum from pre-clinical to graduate medical education
    o Shared on call responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications: MD/DO

Candidate will be evaluated on: BC/BE in Medical Genetics from an ACGME- or ACGMEi - accredited institution
