  • Direct and guide Calibration and ESD technicians, creating a collaborative environment that supports skill development and high performance. Develop technical training programs covering calibration techniques, ESD standards, and equipment-specific protocols to ensure technical compliance and growth
  • Conduct structured coaching sessions, set measurable performance objectives, and provide timely, constructive feedback to support continuous technician development. Use data-driven metrics to assess performance and maintain accountability within the team
  • Enforce Tesla's rigorous safety standards and quality practices across Calibration and ESD operations. Conduct safety audits, verify calibration equipment functionality, and ensure ESD controls meet required specifications, fostering a culture of accountability and adherence to high safety standards
  • Identify and implement process improvements in calibration and ESD practices, driving efficiency gains and standardization. Evaluate current methods against industry best practices to ensure that Tesla's procedures remain innovative and efficient
  • Partner with HR to manage recruiting, onboarding, and technical training for new hires. Ensure that the team is equipped with the necessary skills, certifications, and knowledge to meet Tesla's production demands and comply with evolving industry standards
  • Tesla people leaders are responsible for a variety of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assurance functions, including ensuring their teams' safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, proactively correcting workplace hazards in the areas, and empowering others to continuously improve operations

What You'll Bring
  • Proven experience in calibration processes and ESD management in a manufacturing environment, ideally with team leadership responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of ESD standards (ANSI/ESD S20.20, ESD TR53, IEC 61340-5-1) and calibration protocols, with experience implementing PFMEAs and risk assessments
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, providing clear direction and support for professional growth
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills to work effectively across departments and manage multiple priorities
