What to Expect
The IT Field Services Build Administrator - IT Operations, ensures smooth and consistent sustaining of IT systems and operations of Tesla field-based sales, service centers, offices, or manufacturing facilities in the North America region. This role requires strong technical knowledge at both the network and server levels. A successful candidate will seamlessly blend technical experience, exceptional interpersonal communication skills, project management and a commitment to drive implementations to a successful conclusion. The candidate is expected to be based in either the Northeast US, Southeast US or Northeast Canada with frequent travel to Tesla's field sites throughout North America.
What You'll Do
- Manage the implementation of Tesla's IT infrastructure
at new Sales, Service, Delivery and Collision centers across North America - Manage the upgrade of Tesla's IT infrastructure at
existing Sales, Service, Delivery and Collision centers across North America, also called a network refresh - Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and
infrastructure availability in Tesla Centers - Create and publish Site IT Support documentation for
the IT Field Services Support team - Participate in the design and implementation of data networks,
telephony, and operational support systems - Implement and troubleshoot wired and wireless
networks - Proactively identify customer or site issues and
address in advance of service disruptions - Ability to effectively manage, maintain and coordinate
multiple critical and high-visibility projects simultaneously - Understanding project requirements and developing
project plans to deliver on time through collaboration with different teams within Tesla - Participate in or organize regular meetings with both
internal and external parties for each deployment project
What You'll Bring
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with network, IT infrastructure,
desktop, and software support - Experience in building remote retail, service or business
office sites as part of an overall larger enterprise organization - Ability to travel quickly and frequently (20- 30%) as
needed to domestic and sometimes global sites - Strong knowledge of backend Microsoft environments
(Active Directory, Intune, SCCM, etc.) to support configuration, management, and troubleshooting of all IT equipment used at a site - Ability to assess and prioritize issues and
effectively communicate corrective plans to stakeholders directly or via presentation - Excellent understanding of Windows and Linux
networking components including, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSI model, etc. - Experience with the following: SCCM, MDM, VoIP,
Juniper, Cisco Meraki, Aruba, LogMeIn, IR Touchscreens, PowerShell is a plus - Ability to work effectively in a fast-growing team
environment - Strong Project Management experience is a necessity
- Certifications such as MCSE, or CCNA is a plus

Expected Compensation
- Desktop Support Technician III - $26.28 - $39.42/hour
- Desktop Support Technician IV - $31.68 - $47.52/hour
- Lead Desktop Support Technician - $33.84 - $50.76/hour
+ cash and stock awards + benefits for all levels
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
