| Position Summary |
Assisting the coaching staff and responsible for the routine tasks in regard to the intercollegiate men's basketball program. Support player development including academic monitoring, daily schedules, organizing team events that are outside of practice and competition, etc. Serve as the point of contact for competition scheduling. Serve as the facility liaison to event management, women's basketball, and ticket office. Support the Head Coach with the efficient and productive operation of the Men's Basketball program. |

Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Management and organizational skills. Proficiency with computers, especially using Excel. The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds. Knowledge of National Collegiate Athletic Association (
NCAA),
SEC,
UGA, and
UGAAA rules and regulations.
Ability to effectively communicate to student-athletes, academic counselors, parents, and coaches. Ability to work independently on multiple assignments. Ability to organize as well as prepare for events and travel in advance is imperative. |

Player Development Responsibilities
- Responsible for executing off-the-field activities of student athletes, including but not limited to providing advice and counsel related to life skills, academic success, personal development, and community involvement and engagement.
- Coordinate with academic support staff to monitor academic responsibilities and troubleshooting individual student-athlete issues.
- Communicate daily with academic support staff and attend weekly academic meetings.
- Work with academic support staff to ensure appropriate balance between academic and athletic-related schedules.
- Serve as a mentor for social and personal development.
- Ensure staff and student-athletes are informed of daily schedules and responsibilities.
- Assist in organizing and executing all team socials and events.

Recruiting Operations
- Maintain recruiting database(s).
- Assist in distribution of recruiting communications.
- Assist with logistics of organizing and executing official and unofficial visits.
- Participate in on-campus recruiting activities, focusing on hosting and evaluating relationship building possibilities with prospects and their guests in accordance with NCAA rules and regulations.
- Maintain and cultivate relationships to promote positive messaging and image of the men's basketball program and coaching staff.

Competition Scheduling
- Partner directly with the sport administrator and head coach to develop, building, and manage the annual men's basketball competition schedule, including non-conference and multi-team event opportunities.
- Work in close collaboration with the sport administrator in liaison with opposing institutions, conference offices, and event organizers to negotiate game contracts, dates, guarantees, and logistics.
- Conduct strategic analysis of scheduling opportunities to optimize NCAA postseason positioning, NET rankings, strength of schedule and competition balance.
- Coordinate and track all scheduling agreements and contracts, ensuring alignment with institutional, conference, and NCAA compliance standards.
- Maintain a comprehensive scheduling database including historical trends, future series commitments, buy games, and home/away balance.
- Collaborate with athletics leadership to ensure scheduling aligns with revenue generation goals, television opportunities, and brand visibility.

- Schedule athletic facilities for the University of Georgia and our opponents.

- Communicate practice times and updates with athletic trainers, strength coach, and staff.
- Organize team ticket requests and manage ticket issues at both home and away events.
