We are hiring immediately for a per diem Medical Assistant in Cancer Care where you'll find more than just a job - you'll make a meaningful difference.

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our Cancer Care team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a direct impact by providing critical support to patients throughout their cancer journey, as well as those managing hematologic conditions. You will work alongside a dedicated team of professionals, all committed to delivering the highest standard of care with empathy, expertise, and a patient-centered approach.

At Cancer Care | IV Therapy | MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care, offering exceptional treatment and unwavering support to patients throughout their cancer journey and hematologic care. As part of our rapidly growing network, we bring together a skilled team of oncologists, hematologists, advanced practice providers,nurses, medical assistants, and support staff, all working collaboratively to deliver personalized care tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).
  2. License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification required. (Prior to 5/01/25 MA IIs with 10 years MA experience and employed by MaineHealth as a MA in the most recent 5 years are exempt from certification requirement). Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Fully remote care team members are exempt from BLS certification requirement. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
  3. Experience: Six months of experience as a Medical Assistant or one year as a MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant.

The pay range for this position is $21.09to $27.12 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
