GENERAL FUNCTION

The Supervisor is responsible for directing the daily functions for the billing team, to include onboarding, coaching, quality monitoring, and productivity goals. Provides support to internal/external customers through effective day-to-day management of the team. Utilize knowledge and experience to exercise discretion and judgment to meet deadlines and resolve complex issues.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Supervise employees day-to-day activities, ensuring each employee receives proper training
  • Coordinate daily activities to ensure KPIs are met
  • Responsible for monitoring, coaching, and reporting on staff productivity and accuracy.
  • Establish and maintain managerial practices that drive a high level of motivation of associates in accordance with company policies, procedures, and department standards
  • Coordinate communication to staff regarding new procedures, system enhancements, and process changes.
  • Communicate goals and expectations to employees. Communicate status and progress toward achieving goals to team members.
  • Identify client payment application issues and work to resolve the underlying issue
  • Review, analyze and interpret reports to ensure appropriate adjustments are made to processes and critical information is communicated upward to management for continued success and improvement.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelors or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years billing experience or related experience
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Effective organizational and multi-tasking skills; ability to work well under pressure
  • Experience leading a team, coaching and/or providing constructive feedback in a professional work environment
  • Familiar with KPIs and Quality Monitoring concepts
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Experience leading people in teams or in cross-functional projects
  • Healthcare experience
  • Knowledge of Assignment plans, products and services
