Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Must have experience delivering material & safely transporting passengers by preparing, loading, unloading, operating, cleaning equipment, while also maintaining driving buses records. Must also have experience operating Dump trucks, water trucks, while also transport dirt, gravel and any other materials, and any light Equipment.

TYPICAL DUTIES:



  • Actively support the Company's commitment to safety and its Core Values.

  • Prepares truck for operation by inspecting general condition; checking fluid levels and tire pressure; obtaining or scheduling required repairs; validating adherence to roadability standards.
  • Load trucks by ordering, placing, and securing items
  • Delivering items by identifying destinations; establishing route; operating the truck; unloading items; maintaining schedule
  • A CDL bus driver's main duty is to safely transport passengers using a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate passenger endorsement
  • Serves customers by understanding and resolving or forwarding complaints
  • Responsibilities include performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, obeying traffic laws, assisting passengers, adhering to schedules, keeping the bus clean, and communicating effectively with passengers and dispatchers.
  • Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
  • Maintains truck operating efficiency by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; scheduling repairs.
  • Maintains safe operation and clean appearance by complying with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations; cleans truck/Bus exterior and interior.
  • Maintains delivery, truck, and driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgments; recording tracking information; completing driver log and truck performance forms.
  • To work well with supervision.
  • Be able to work around existing underground utilities and tight areas.
  • Communicating effectively with site supervision
  • Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:



  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience driving on roads, mechanical, industrial or refinery maintenance experience transporting material and passengers.
  • General knowledge of basic hand tools.
  • Must be able to pass equipment written test and visual observation of operating equipment
  • Must Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate Truck and Bus endorsements required for the position.
  • Must have experience in Scheduling, Travel Logistics, Verbal Communication, Customer Focus, Deadline-Oriented, Travel, Acute Vision, Lifting, Dependability.
  • Complete the Matrix Service Safety training, and Client/Site specific training.
  • Must obtain and maintain active status within the DISA drug testing program
  • Must pass a pre-employment Background check.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and successfully clear an MVR and driving record review.
  • Must have a current DOT Physical


PHYSICAL/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work from elevated or uneven surfaces.
  • Work involves standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in Confined Spaces.
  • Work may include frequent bending, kneeling, crouching and stooping and occasional climbing onto equipment and/or trailers.
  • Work may include occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying objects weighing a minimum of 35 pounds to a maximum of 100 pounds, with assistance, such as raw or fabricated material, equipment or tools.
  • Requires visual ability sufficient to perform job duties. Work normally requires eye-hand coordination.
  • Travel and overtime may be required.

The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other factors influencing pay. As such, the actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of this range, and in certain circumstances, may fall outside the listed hiring range.

Hiring range: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour

Full range for this position, available overtime: $29.00 - $31.00 hour
