Description

The Regional Manager of Operations provides operational leadership and support for a portfolio of assisted living communities within an assigned region. Under the direction of the Regional Director of Operations, this role advances Lifespark's vision, mission, and values by promoting quality care and service, supporting leadership development and employee relations, and monitoring operational, financial, and customer service performance to help communities achieve established goals.

Position: Regional Manager of Operations

Salary: $120,000 - $145,000 annually, depending on experience

Service Area: Twin Cities Metro area. Plus, mileage reimbursement of 72.5 cents per mile.

Schedule: 1.0 FTE, Full - Time / Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (occasional rotation of on-call schedule)

Position Functions & Responsibilities:



  • Provide operational guidance and support to Executive Directors and community leadership teams in achieving company goals and objectives across an assigned portfolio.
  • Foster an environment of accountability, collaboration, and goal achievement.
  • Collaborate with community management staff and consultants to develop and execute business plans that address key operational priorities and staffing needs.
  • Monitor each community's financial performance, quality initiatives, and customer service programs, and escalate significant issues as appropriate.
  • Coach Executive Directors and community leaders on key performance metrics, operational analytics, and action planning.
  • Partner with the Regional Director of Operations to support the performance management and development of Executive Directors in collaboration with Human Resources.
  • Develop an environment that encourages creative thinking, problem solving, and empowerment within community management teams.
  • Conduct regular site visits and operational rounds to monitor care delivery, support departments, cleanliness, resident experience, and staff engagement.
  • Support Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities and follow-up actions within assigned communities.
  • Identify areas of operational or regulatory risk, elevate significant concerns to the Regional Director of Operations, and partner with local leaders to implement interventions that reduce exposure and improve compliance.
  • Promote a high standard of customer service for internal and external stakeholders through consistent support of service initiatives and business objectives.
  • Use survey, quality, and operational data to address priorities and improve community performance.
  • Ensure consultants and support resources are used effectively, staff are trained appropriately, and strong interdepartmental teamwork is maintained.
  • Help ensure buildings, grounds, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
  • Monitor Human Resources practices within assigned communities to support compliance, communication, staff engagement, and retention.
  • Build positive relationships with regulators, residents, families, healthcare partners, physicians, and community stakeholders.
  • Support implementation of government requirements, company policies, and operational initiatives within the assigned region.
  • Review community commitments and business practices, including labor, payables, receivables, and census-related performance measures.
  • Partner with community leadership to support local marketing and census development strategies that reflect service opportunities and market conditions.



Qualifications:

Education



  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in assisted living operations.
  • Must hold required assisted living licensure or administrator qualifications in accordance with applicable state regulations.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • Multi-site assisted living operations experience preferred; experience supporting a smaller regional portfolio is strongly desired.
  • Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's families, and employees.
  • Must possess proficient computer skills, including email use.
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
  • Ability to travel throughout Minnesota portfolio 50% of time.
