Description
Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Obtains materials from suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality and reliability of source in accordance with all Company policies and procedures and other applicable laws and regulations of the Institute of Supply Management and Uniform Commercial Code.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Procurement Agent I: ($57,110 - $71,390)



  • Must possess a working knowledge of purchasing procedures at a level normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, or related discipline; or possess equivalent experience.


Procurement Agent II: ($63,860 - $79,830)



  • Must possess a working knowledge of purchasing procedures at a level normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, or related discipline; and
  • Two years' experience in Procurement, and/or Supply Chain function with applicable product knowledge.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS


  • Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
  • May be required to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Requires travel: Minimal (up to 20%)


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Process material requisitions to include: soliciting, evaluating, negotiating and awarding quotations/bids that meet approved company standard.
  • Collaborates with field and warehouse staff on the procurement processes and systems. Obtains the correct quality, quantity, time, price, source, and service to ensure efficient process.
  • Performs all expediting functions on orders and tracing shipments; coordinates delivery with appropriate end user. Initiates damage and/or shortage claim process with freight carriers as required, negotiating satisfactory resolution.
  • Conducts price variance review, approval, and reconciliation. Resolves pricing and/or quantity variances on orders with suppliers and initiate appropriate course of action.
  • Identifies and resolves issues and provides training to field personnel regarding JD Edwards procurement module.
  • Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
