Build a Career That Matters with One of the World's Most Respected Employers! - - - - - - - - - - - - Job Title: Finishing Line Inspector Basic Function: To inspect the buff side of the tread. Minimum Requirements 1. Ability to work a 12-hour shift beginning either 7AM or 7PM. 2. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. 3. Ability to stand for duration of shift. 4. Ability to be a team player and interact with colleagues. 5. Ability to pay attention to detail. Principal Duties (additional duties may be assigned) 1. Obtain pallet ticket for startup pallet or changeover staged at the buffer from the operator. 2. Adjust the dust brush down to the tread surface. 3. Using a calibrated digital caliper, measure the thickness in the middle on each side of the tread, measure the length using marks on the conveyor table, and measure the base width with a tape measure. Record all results. 4. Inspect the base for CQ's visually. If CQ's are found mark and send to be spliced. 5. Cementer must be adjusted to meet specifications. 6. Measure the width of the tread with tape measure and the thickness of the tread with a caliper. 7. Inspect 3 feet of the front and back of each tread. 8. Reject any tread that fails to meet any PTOR.
