Job Summary: |
This position serves as an Engagement Coordinator within the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Access and Engagement and provides professional and operational coordination campus and community engagement efforts. This role contributes to the implementation of engagement processes by serving as a primary point of contact for engagement-related requests and facilitating meaningful connections between existing campus programs/initiatives and community partners. This requires a strong understanding of engagement opportunities available within the institution and how existing resources can sustainability, creatively and successfully further community engagement initiatives. This role will specifically contribute to the implementation of a new campus-wide Community Engagement 3.0 initiative, which aggregates and enables community-campus partnerships across CU Anschutz. The Engagement Coordinator is responsible for maintaining systems that track and evaluate engagement activities across mission areas, managing engagement databases and tools, coordinating data collection and documentation efforts, and contributing to the planning and execution of meetings, programs, and events that advance community engagement priorities. The position applies knowledge of public health and community engagement practices to evaluate incoming requests, identify appropriate campus or community connections, and maintain accurate records of engagement activities. The role analyzes and synthesizes engagement data to identify patterns and trends, support internal reporting, and provide insights to inform coordination of future engagement activities and follow-up with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Engagement Intake & Relationship Support - 30%
- Serve as a primary point of contact for engagement-related requests and inquiries, evaluating needs and providing guidance on appropriate processes, resources, and next steps.
- Decern, analyze and triage engagement requests, assess alignment with program goals and campus and community needs, and determine appropriate campus connections.
- Track and document engagement requests and connections, ensuring accurate records and follow through.
Engagement Systems & Data Coordination - 30%
- Analyze engagement tracking data and partnership records to identify appropriate connections between community organizations and campus programs based on areas of interest, partnership history, and institutional priorities.
- Synthesize engagement data and partnership activity into summaries, reports, and insights that support internal decision-making and strategy development.
- Support the discovery process to identify a new engagement tracking system, and once established act as the system administer for reporting, data management and visualization.
- Maintain engagement tracking systems including databases, CRM systems, surveys, and other evaluation tools used to document community partnership activities.
- Coordinate data collection and documentation across campus mission areas to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of engagement records.
- Respond to internal requests for engagement data by compiling, analyzing, and summarizing information from multiple sources to support reporting, program evaluation, and stakeholder needs.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of engagement tracking systems and processes by identifying gaps, improving data quality, and supporting consistent data collection practices across programs.
Program & Meeting Coordination - 25%
- Contribute to planning efforts and coordination of engagement activities led by the Engagement 3.0 office by providing input based on engagement data, stakeholder needs, and operational considerations.
- Coordinate logistics for engagement activities, including scheduling, communications, and resource alignment, ensuring activities are executed in accordance with program goals and University procedures.
- Evaluate engagement activities and processes to identify opportunities for refinement, improved efficiency, and enhanced alignment with program goals, and apply insights to inform future planning and implementation.
Operational Coordination and Stakeholder Support - 15%
- Coordinate communication and follow-up with internal and external partners, ensuring timely responses, clear information sharing, and alignment with Engagement 3.0 goals.
- Discern and discuss complex health-related topics that require sensitive cultural understanding and nuanced relationship management.
- Track action items, timelines, and deliverables related to engagement activities, ensuring follow-through and accountability across stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve administrative or operational issues by applying established procedures and coordinating with appropriate campus partners.

Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings. |

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Public Health or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
- One year of professional experience supporting community engagement or partnership activities.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data tracking or CRM systems
- Experience coordinating projects or events
- Second-language proficiency

Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $52,528 - $56,000. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
