Job Description

Serve as the point person for the ForagerOne platform to facilitate increased numbers of students and faculty engaging in undergraduate research. ForagerOne is a database for students and faculty to search for opportunities and connect. Promotion of ForagerOne and undergraduate research at MU is a primary focus of this position. An equally important role is the daily management of the ForagerOne system, including fully understanding the system, troubleshooting, and maximizing its utility. Monitoring and analyzing ForagerOne data in the context of the university organization and in coordination with other undergraduate research data is another responsibility. The position is a contributing member of the undergraduate research team at MU and plays a critical role in shaping the future success of undergraduate research at MU.

Responsibilities:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external ForagerOne stakeholders, including administrators, faculty, staff and students.
* Understand and implement features of ForagerOne to contribute to campus undergraduate research goals
* Troubleshoot technical and non-technical issues with the support of MU IT staff and ForagerOne staff.
* Organize and lead outreach initiatives for ForagerOne for students, staff, and faculty. Work closely with student support staff, academic units, and campus communicators to maximize awareness and engagement.
* In collaboration with other OUR staff, implement general outreach, workshops, and Ambassador program efforts
* Establish metrics for success; collect, clean and analyze ForagerOne data; generate reports; and utilize data with partners to inform strategy to maximize impact of ForagerOne.
* Utilize other data (ie, PreAdvising Questionnaire, STAR workshops, lists of students in programs and presenting, HIPs data) to inform strategy for undergraduate research efforts
* Meet with students seeking research opportunities and identify success stories for communication efforts.
* Collaborate with campus communicators to develop promotional materials in a variety of modalities (print, digital, social media)
* Advocate for undergraduate research and contribute to student-centered learning and development efforts and events as a member of the Office of Undergraduate Research

Shift

8AM-5PM Monday-Friday

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

* Proficiency with standard desktop and statistical software, including Excel and Qualtrics. Ability and desire to learn and use new software applications., including database applications.
* Well-developed verbal, written and visual communication skills, including the ability to relay data issues in an organized and easily understandable manner. Effective presentation and training skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills to promote an environment of shared success. Must be able to establish relationships with students, faculty, staff and administrators across campus.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multi-faceted environment. Ability to work with many people with different levels of engagement in the project.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills with a keen orientation to detail and concern for accuracy, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. Project management and/or ability to follow-up on complext tasks with multiple team members.
* Ability to anticipate and recognize problems, employ problem solving skills, and follow through with appropriate solutions.
* Strong organizational skills that are goal oriented.
* Passion to facilitate student learning and development through engagement in the High Impact Practice of Undergraduate Research.
* Experience in higher education settings.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $53,976 - 69,576 annually

Grade: GGS-9E
