JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Risk Management Analyst serves as a subject matter expert within the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function, providing oversight, mentorship, and strategic input across key risk programs. This role is responsible for leading complex projects within ERM, Compliance Monitoring, or Delegation Oversight, ensuring that risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting activities are executed with precision and consistency. The Senior Analyst plays a critical role in advancing the organization's risk maturity, promoting accountability across the first and second lines of defense, and aligning enterprise practices to recognized frameworks and regulatory standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own risk management projects and initiatives within assigned program areas (ERM, Compliance Monitoring, or Delegation Oversight), ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as first-level reviewer for risk deliverables, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency with ERM methodology and reporting standards.
  • Design, facilitate, and conduct risk workshops and assessments with cross-functional stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Translate complex risk data into actionable insights through dashboards, KRIs, and executive-level presentations.
  • Develop and enhance ERM tools, templates, and methodologies to improve consistency and scalability.
  • Partner with business leaders to integrate risk considerations into strategic planning, project execution, and performance monitoring.
  • Provide risk management training, coaching and feedback to different business areas to enhance the organization's risk posture and risk culture.
  • Support the implementation of new regulatory or framework requirements across ERM and related functions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional reviews of risk mitigation plans and report on progress to leadership.


  • QUALIFICATIONS

    • 4+ years w/ Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field is required.
    • Demonstrated experience conducting cross-functional risk initiatives or projects with measurable impact.
    • Proven success reviewing and approving risk reports, dashboards, and assessments.
    • Working knowledge of risk management frameworks (COSO ERM, ISO 31000, NIST CSF) and regulatory guidance (NAIC ORSA, HIPAA, CMS).
    • Ability to lead projects, drive end-to-end activities, and provide risk management expertise.
    • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to connect operational detail to enterprise-level impact.
    • Strong business acumen with the ability to think strategically and build effective business partnerships
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to influence across levels and functions.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience preparing Board or executive-level materials.
    • Expertise in BI/analytics tools such as Business Objects, Tableau or PowerBI
    • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

    Base Pay Information

    The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
