Position Description: As a Business Development Manager,
you will own the full sales cycle - from first dial to signed agreement. You
will research and identify target customers, build relationships through
discovery calls, run product demonstrations, and close deals. This is a
high-activity, full-ownership role designed for someone who is passionate about
sales, comfortable introducing a new solution to a new market, and ready to
operate with a high degree of independence.

You will report directly to the
Managing Director and collaborate with the Customer Success and global product
teams. You will also work closely with marketing to support outreach campaigns
that drive inbound interest and reinforce your outbound efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
Prospecting & Pipeline Development

Research and identify target municipalities, public works departments, and city engineers across your territory.
Own your outreach - cold calls, emails, LinkedIn engagement, and event follow-up.
Build a customer-first approach through thoughtful discovery calls that uncover real needs.
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline from scratch and meet weekly and monthly activity targets.

Full-Cycle Sales Execution
Manage every stage of the sales process from first contact to signed agreement.
Deliver tailored product demonstrations and clearly articulate value to municipal stakeholders.
Navigate public sector procurement, respond to RFPs as needed, and drive deals to close.
Achieve defined revenue and pipeline targets.
Represent EDGITAL in customer meetings, presentations, webinars, and industry events as needed.

Marketing & Campaign Collaboration
Partner with the marketing team to develop impactful email and social media campaigns for customer acquisition.
Share market feedback, objections, and insights to help refine messaging and outreach strategy.
Continually improve and adapt your sales approach and share best practices with the team.

CRM & Pipeline Management
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in HubSpot across all prospects and active opportunities.
Track activity, forecast pipeline, and report on progress consistently.
Follow a structured sales process with clear next steps at every stage.


Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally selling technology-enabled services such as SaaS or professional services.
Demonstrated ability to independently generate pipeline and close revenue.
Enthusiasm for introducing a new solution to a new market and genuine interest in infrastructure or public sector.
Strong negotiation skills and a passion for sales.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills - clear, confident, and professional.
Comfortable presenting and demonstrating to a professional audience.
Experience with CRM systems, specifically HubSpot preferred.
Ability to manage work within a dynamic, fast-paced environment and juggle multiple opportunities simultaneously.
Self-starter with a drive for results - you don't wait to be told what to do.
Patient and persistent without being pushy.
Personable with a professional, can-do attitude.
Highly accountable and performance-driven.

Physical Demands: Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
