Under general supervision, the Interventional Radiology Technologist assists with diagnostic angiographic, complex vascular, neurovascular, and nonvascular interventional procedures. The IR Tech is responsible for obtaining all equipment needed for a procedure, positioning and imaging patients, resolving equipment issues, and demonstrating knowledge of human anatomy, radiation safety, interventional supplies and equipment operation. IR Techs are required to have a combination of technical, radiologic and clinical skills. The IR Tech performs general radiographic and fluoroscopic exams using fixed and portable imaging equipment throughout General Diagnostic Radiology. Participates in workflow coordination, training, and team-based quality improvement activities within a collaborative work environment. Other duties assigned as needed. Demonstrates and applies knowledge of radiation safety principles. Demonstrates competency in interventional diagnostic procedures. Must follow interventional filming protocols and policies. Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include evenings, nights, weekends, holidays and call (Vascular/NeuroVascular) and some overtime if necessary for unexpected staffing issues. Utilizes imaging and information systems including PACS, CR, DR, RIS, and HIS to support patient care and departmental operations. Additional modality experience is desirable to support cross-coverage during routine operations and expected/unexpected staffing needs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $126,512 - $166,977 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $60.59 - $79.97 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). | |
