We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive, and creative Production Assistant to join The Bottom Line with Dagen McDowell & Brian Brenberg on FOX Business. As a Production Assistant, you will help produce materials including video montages, SOTs & graphics daily. Qualified candidates should have a solid understanding of the news of the day. You must know how to work quickly under pressure in a collaborative editorial environment while maintaining quality standards. Good time management and organization is a must.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cut video & SOTs, with varying degrees of difficulty

  • Create topical graphics to correspond with news of day segments

  • Compile research on topics discussed in the show

  • Assist anchors with pre-show preparation

  • Assist segment producers with gathering elements for air

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Prior television (or similar) experience

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others under intense deadline pressure

  • Ability to understand and execute tasks as instructed by others

  • Ability to work independently

  • Flexibility to pivot at a moment's notice given the fast-paced news environment

  • Willingness and eagerness to listen, learn, and grow from constructive criticism

  • Knowledge of business news, politics, and current events

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $19.00-27.65 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
