The hospital's RN residency program is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Practice Transition Accreditation Program and Pathway to Excellence, ensuring high-quality training for nurses.
  • The Nurse Educator position is responsible for the coordination and implementation of patient care orientation (PCO) for nursing and nursing support staff and nurse externs.
  • This responsibility includes the planning, organization and execution of education/training programs as identified through needs assessment, quality improvement initiatives, and implementation of new products and technology.
  • This individual assists in supporting facility-wide operations by consistently and effectively teaching and modeling Hillcrest South's Behavior and Performance Standards.
  • This individual works collaboratively with the education team on global hospital education initiatives as directed.
  • This individual must be a self-starter with initiative and ability to work independently, as well as coordinate work with colleagues and peers.
  • The Nurse Educator is responsible for assisting in planning, developing, organizing, and facilitating the activities of clinical education to assist Hillcrest South in meeting the requirements of DNV and other federal state and local regulatory accrediting agencies.

Job Requirements:

  • BSN
  • Must possess Oklahoma License as a Registered Nurse

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • MSN
  • One to three years of Education Experience in a hospital, academic or other healthcare setting
  • Five to seven years' experience in clinical nursing, with experience in medical/surgical or critical care nursing
