| Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit |
WUNC Radio provides quality news, information and entertainment programming to a broad listening audience that includes North Carolina, the United States and the world.
WUNC serves North Carolinians from Greensboro to the Outer Banks through a network of ten stations. |
| Position Summary |
This position will provide technical support and/or programming to staff which may include installing and configuring computer hardware, software, networks, printers, and scanners, diagnosing, and solving hardware/software issues and analyzing any underlying issues as necessary. This position will also carry out project management of IT systems upgrades, migrations and organization. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Associate's degree in Computer Information Technology, computer Technology Integration, Networking Technology, or related area and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the position's role; or
- Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year experience in the information technology field related to the position's role; or
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, math or engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Journey level required an additional one year of experience
- Advanced level required an additional two years of experience. |
| Management Preferences |
Knowledge of Windows OS installation with troubleshooting experience
Knowledge of networking,
TCP/IP setups for computers, printers
Knowledge of audio studio equipment
Ability to research issues and projects
Experience in standard office software, PC and Mac OS or hardware |
| Special Physical/Mental Requirements |
Ability to move equipment weighing up to 50lbs with or without accommodation, and negotiate ladders. |
