Title: Coordinator for Intramural Sports Executive Area: Student Affairs & Campus Life College/School/MBU: Campus Life & Wellbeing Department: Recreation & Wellbeing Work Location: Amherst Schedule:Full Time Work Arrangement:Onsite Job Summary Under general direction of Assistant Director of Intramural Sports, the Coordinator for Intramural Sports position plans and supervises intramural sport activities; manages the design, implementation, and evaluation of new Intramural Sport Programs. Works with colleagues to manage a comprehensive collegiate recreation program and assists with the selection and delivery of recreation activities and student employment practices that contribute to student success and wellbeing. Essential Functions Coordinates the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines, including intramural rule modifications; coordinates the development of policies and guidelines regarding recreation and wellbeing programs; and coordinates the development of learning outcomes for associated participants and student employees. Other Functions Performs related duties as assigned or required. Understands responsibilities with respect to Title IX, Clery and other compliance requirements. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree with two (2) years of collegiate recreation experience, OR Master's degree with one (1) year related experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience administering intramural or club sports at the collegiate level. Working Conditions Work is performed in indoor and/or outdoor athletic facilities and venues. May require travel to competitions, lifting and transporting equipment, prolonged standing, and walking during practices, games, and recruiting activities. Work Schedule and Work Arrangement 37.5 hour per week position; must be available to work evenings and weekends.
