JOB SUMMARY
Vaco is currently seeking a hands-on AWS Migration Specialist for a 2M+ Contract (w/ likely extensions) opportunity that is remote. The AWS Migration Specialist will support a fast-paced cloud migration initiative, focusing on executing AWS-to-AWS and OnPrem-to-AWS migrations, administering core AWS infrastructure, and ensuring secure, reliable connectivity across cloud environments. This AWS Migration Specialist will work heavily with IAM, EC2, S3, VPC, networking, and cloud operations while troubleshooting migration-related issues and supporting production-ready AWS environments. The ideal AWS Migration Specialist will come with proven experience delivering cloud migrations, solid systems administration expertise, and the ability to quickly contribute within a short-term consulting engagement.

  • AWS Infrastructure / Cloud Administration (5+ years | hands-on) - Supporting AWS Infrastructure Administration / Cloud Migration Initiatives in Enterprise Environments
  • AWS Migration Expertise - Executing AWS-to-AWS / OnPrem-to-AWS Migration Projects (Workload Assessment / Planning / Migration Execution / Validation)
  • Core AWS Services (hands-on expertise) - Across AWS Services (IAM / EC2 / S3 / VPC / Route 53 / Security Groups / Load Balancing)
  • AWS Tenant / Account Migration - Migrating Applications / Workloads / Infrastructure Across AWS Accounts / Tenants | Maintaining Security / Operational Continuity
  • Cloud Networking Fundamentals (strong understanding) - TCP/IP / DNS / Subnetting / Routing / VPNs / Firewalls / Cloud Connectivity Concepts
  • Cloud Troubleshooting / Operations - Troubleshooting Complex Infrastructure / Connectivity / Migration Issues in AWS Environments

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
