Director of Program Management, Mfg Strategy

THE ROLE:

The Director of Program Management is responsible for leading complex, crossfunctional programs that are critical to AMD's Helios success. This role owns endtoend program deliverables, governance, and execution, ensuring alignment across engineering, operations, supply chain, finance, and executive leadership. The Director sets the operating rhythm for key projects, scales teams and processes, and drives predictable delivery against aggressive schedules, cost targets, and quality expectations.

THE PERSON:

As the leader of this effort, you will demonstrate strong executive presence and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels of the organization. You proactively identify delivery, technical, supplier, and execution risks and put mitigation strategies in place early. You lead crisis management and recovery planning efforts when programs deviate from plan, ensuring rapid stabilization and clear path to recovery. You are also a collaborative leader who builds trust, drives alignment, and partners effectively across organizations to achieve shared goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive alignment across organizations with competing priorities without direct authority.
  • Lead and influence crossfunctional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Quality, IT).
  • Partner closely with functional leaders and suppliers to balance scope, cost, schedule, and resource tradeoffs.
  • Define and implement program governance frameworks, including reviews, dashboards, KPIs, and executive readouts.
  • Lead recurring program reviews with senior leadership, clearly articulating status, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations.
  • Ensure alignment of program priorities with companylevel strategy and planning horizons.
  • Build, lead, and develop a highperforming program management organization.
  • Scale program management capabilities, tools, and best practices across the organization.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience leading complex, crossfunctional programs or operations.
  • Demonstrated success delivering largescale, technically complex programs.
  • Strong understanding of product development, manufacturing, and/or supply chain environments.
  • Proven people leadership experience building and scaling teams
  • Experience in semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, infrastructure, or technologyintensive industries.
  • Background in capacity expansion, factory buildouts, NPI, or large capital programs.
  • Experience working with suppliers, contract manufacturers, or external partners.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field (advanced degree preferred).
