What We're Looking For:

A Restaurant Server who is passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences. In this role, you'll take orders, serve food and beverages, and foster a warm, vibrant atmosphere that makes every guest feel welcome. Your in-depth knowledge of menu offerings, beverages, and cocktails allows you to elevate the dining experience through personalized recommendations and confident service. Working closely with bartenders and team members, you'll ensure seamless operations and play a key role in delivering memorable moments for every guest.

What You'll Do:

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Greet guests in a polite, warm, and professional manner in accordance with Loews Hotels standards.
  • Present menus, provide detailed explanations, and offer personalized food and beverage recommendations, including upselling when appropriate.
  • Accurately take and fulfill guest orders, noting special requests and dietary needs while communicating clearly with kitchen and bar teams.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, pairings, presentation, and timing.
  • Provide attentive, responsive service by anticipating guest needs and ensuring a seamless, enjoyable dining experience.
  • Check in with guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and promptly address any concerns.
  • Ensure all food and beverage items meet quality, presentation, and brand standards prior to service.

Food & Beverage Service

  • Serve food and beverages efficiently and professionally, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Refill beverages, clear courses, and reset tables to maintain proper flow of service.
  • Answer questions regarding menu items, beverages, and cocktails with confidence and professionalism.
  • Support bar operations as needed in collaboration with bartenders and team members.

Cash Handling & Point of Sale Operations

  • Accurately record guest orders and process transactions using the POS system.
  • Collect and process payments via cash, credit card, or room charge in accordance with cashiering procedures.
  • Ensure all transactions are handled efficiently, securely, and accurately.
  • Maintain responsibility for assigned bank and follow all cash handling policies.

Operational Standards & Team Collaboration

  • Set up, maintain, and break down dining and service areas to ensure readiness for each shift.
  • Keep tables, service stations, menus, and guest areas clean, organized, and sanitary at all times.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and support staff, bartenders, and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Respond to guest feedback or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive experience.
  • Notify leadership of operational issues, guest concerns, or unusual situations.
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions; remain current on hotel and restaurant updates.
  • Follow all safety regulations, sanitation standards, and Loews Hotels policies and procedures.
  • Comply with uniform, grooming, and professional appearance standards.

Other Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to remain on feet for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks including walking, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and twisting throughout the shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to safely lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 35 pounds continuously throughout the shift in a fast-paced restaurant environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications Include:

  • Previous experience (1-2 years) in a food and beverage or restaurant setting required; knowledge of alcoholic beverages and service techniques strongly preferred.
  • Excellent guest service, communication, and interpersonal skills with a passion for hospitality.
  • Strong understanding of menu offerings, service etiquette, and guest engagement.
  • Basic computer and point-of-sale proficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
