Revenue Cycle Management

Position Summary: Document Control Specialists are responsible for providing professional and efficient clerical support to the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Team by receiving, reviewing, categorizing, scanning, filing, and tracking documents using the specified classification and organization systems. This position is challenged with a high volume of inbound documents and will be held to daily productivity metrics, and therefore measured on both quality and quantity goals as defined by DJO RCM Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receives and processes inbound communications which may include medical or other types of charts/files, claims, faxes, emails, standard mail, or other related system communications either hard copy, voice or electronic.

  • Manages and separates all mail correspondence.

  • Matches corresponding paperwork to accounts.

  • Maintain returned mail for incorrect addresses.

  • Take patient calls through dedicated phone queue.

  • Compiles document to process through lockbox.

  • Ensures the printing of HCFA claim forms are mailed out daily.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience and proven competence in the clerical field.

  • Must demonstrate keen attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience using an electronic document management system required, OnBase preferred.

  • Proficiency in use of Adobe Acrobat.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Travel Requirements:

  • This position does not require travel.
