As a Security Officer DHS Site Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

Must have clean background

Must have 1 year of security experience within the last 3 years with an active guard card

Must have a high school diploma, or GED or Official transcripts

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry, visitor processing, and delivery activity in accordance with site protocols and post instructions.
• Support daily operations by preparing incident reports, maintaining awareness of surroundings, and following Allied Universal standards for professionalism and reliability.

Minimum Requirements:

• A tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required in accordance with DPSS and/or DHS requirements.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required in accordance with DPSS and/or DHS requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
