What to Expect
As a member of the Abuse Testing & Engineering group,you will be at the forefront of ensuringthe safetyof Tesla'svehicleor energyproducts bytesting themagainst extreme real-world scenarios and beyond.You will provide rapid feedback to inform designs early in developmentby understanding thesystemperformanceagainstextremeelectrical,mechanicaland thermal stresses. You willundertakedestructive thermalsafetytestingof battery packswith a keen eye towardscellrunawaycharacteristics.In this role, you willcollaborate with battery pack designandmodeling engineerstomake sure the productsmeet rigorous internal requirements.Youwillleadthe testing,throughplanningandexecution (with technician support),interpretingtestsresultsandprovidingrapid feedbackresulting in products withbest-in-classsafety performance.
