Scheduler (Healthcare) - Denton, TX (Onsite) We are seeking an experienced Scheduler to join a fast-paced healthcare team in Denton, TX. This is a patient-facing position responsible for coordinating appointments, managing schedules, and ensuring a seamless experience for patients and providers. Key Responsibilities * Schedule new and returning patients, including referrals, in accordance with physician and clinic guidelines * Coordinate multiple appointments per patient (e.g., lab, office visits, infusion, procedures) * Handle high-volume scheduling (up to ~100 patients per day) * Answer inbound calls (~20 daily), assess needs, and route appropriately * Manage cancellations/reschedules and communicate provider schedule changes * Maintain accurate patient records in EMR systems, including documentation and coding for new patients * Obtain and enter insurance information and authorizations * Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket payments * Maintain and update provider scheduling templates (meetings, rounding, coverage, etc.) * Coordinate outpatient testing, surgeries, and hospital admissions as needed * Communicate appointment details, prep instructions, and follow-ups with patients * Ensure all activities adhere to patient confidentiality standards Required Qualifications * Minimum 3+ years of healthcare experience * At least 5 years of office experience, preferably in a medical setting * Strong experience with: * Patient scheduling (appointments, referrals, procedures) * Healthcare scheduling workflows * Inbound call handling * Insurance verification and authorization * Knowledge of medical terminology and coding * Experience with EMR systems * Ability to thrive in a high-volume, patient-facing environment Preferred Qualifications * Experience coordinating surgeries, pre-op, and post-op scheduling * Familiarity with coordinating testing and surgical clearances * Understanding of diagnosis/procedure coding lookup Work Environment * Onsite in Denton, TX * Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM * 30-minute lunch break * Positive team culture with supportive leadership What You'll Bring * Strong attention to detail and organization * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment * Professionalism and commitment to patient experience Why Join * Collaborative and positive work culture * Supportive leadership team * Opportunity to work in a dynamic, patient-centered environment #westpriority26 Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Corinth, TX.
