Job Title: Senior Acquisition Specialist
Location: San Diego, California (Hybrid)
Clearance: TS/SCI Required
Status: Full-Time
Salary: $100,000-$130,000

Metronome is seeking a Senior Acquisition Specialist to support a high-visibility U.S. Navy PMW program office. This role is ideal for an experienced acquisition and program professional who understands how to bridge program execution, financial management, and operational priorities within complex Navy modernization efforts.

This position is heavily focused on budget execution, spend plan management, acquisition support, and program synchronization. Ensuring funding is aligned, obligated, and executed in support of mission priorities.

What You'll Do:

  • Support the PMW Acquisition Manager (APM) and Deputy APM across Navy acquisition and modernization initiatives

  • Manage program financial execution, including funding allocation, obligation tracking, and spend plan execution

  • Coordinate closely with Business Financial Managers (BFMs) to ensure fiscal alignment and execution benchmarks are met

  • Develop and process spend plan change requests to support shifting priorities, cost changes, and emergent program needs

  • Monitor budget health to safeguard funding and ensure all appropriated funds are aligned to executable requirements

  • Assist with program planning during Continuing Resolutions (CRs), funding shifts, and changing fiscal constraints

  • Build and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and track cost, schedule, and performance across multiple efforts

  • Support acquisition documentation, contract execution planning, and milestone activities

  • Identify risks to execution and develop mitigation strategies to prevent funding gaps or stop-work scenarios

  • Prepare executive-level briefings, budget reports, and decision support materials for leadership

  • Coordinate across program, financial, and technical stakeholders to ensure mission priorities remain synchronized

Required Skills

What You Bring:
8+ years supporting DoD acquisition, program management, or financial management organizations
3+ years supporting U.S. Navy acquisition programs
Strong experience in budget execution, obligation tracking, and spend plan management
Understanding of Navy appropriations, fiscal year funding cycles, and PPBE processes
Experience supporting program cost, schedule, and performance management
Familiarity with defense contracts and contract execution workflows
Working knowledge of DoD 5000, SecNAV 5000, and Adaptive Acquisition Frameworks
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
Ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate program impacts to leadership
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Acquisition, Program Management, or related field
Active TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior Navy military or civilian experience
Experience supporting PMW, PEO C4I, SPAWAR, or NAVWAR environments
DAWIA Level II/III in Program Management, Financial Management, or Contracting
PMP, Scrum, or equivalent program management certification
Experience supporting distributed operations, C4ISR, or fleet modernization programs
